At 12:25 pm on Monday July 7th I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At 1:05 on the same day, for unrelated reasons, I was fired from my job. I started this blog to stay in touch with my friends and family when I was too overwhelmed to return my phone calls.
In August, I had a mastectomy. I am now completely cancer-free. I'm still unemployed, and plan to remain so for a little while longer, at least.
